Gene S Updates
Innovator of the Year 2025
We’re thrilled to announce that Gene S was named a finalist for the 2025 Western Australian Innovator of the Year Awards — in the Wesfarmers Wellbeing Platinum Award category.
This award celebrates WA innovators who have developed outstanding products, technologies, processes, or services that advance social or medical wellbeing in the community — and we’re honoured to be recognised for our contribution to precision health care.
Our first product, RosaMind, is a breakthrough in personalised mental health care — and we’re incredibly grateful to be acknowledged alongside WA’s leading innovators in health and wellbeing.
Gene S in the Media
We are honoured to be featured on Channel 7 News, where our platform RosaMind was described as a “game changer for the health industry”, bringing “life-changing hope for patients.”
This feature highlighted how our simple test can be utilised to match a patient’s mental diagnosis with their most effective prescription, using DNA to eliminate the trial-and-error approach to medication management, and helping patients find the best mental health treatment faster.
Our feature on ABC News was an exciting opportunity to showcase the vision behind Gene S and our journey as a start-up, as well as highlight how our first product, RosaMind, empowers clinicians to prescribe the right medication based on each patient’s unique genetic profile.

PharmacoGENEtics in Youth Depression (GENE-YD) Study Protocol:
This pilot randomised controlled trial investiges the feasibility and acceptability of pharmacogenomic-guided antidepressant prescribing in adolescents and young adults. The findings aim to inform the design of a future trial assessing personalised prescribing treatment outcomes in youths.

Real-World Application of Pharmacogenomics in Paediatrics
This review explores the role of pharmacogenomic testing in paediatrics, specifically in oncology, psychiatry and other key therapeutic areas. It highlights how genotype-guided prescribing can improve treatment safety and efficacy to support more personalised prescribing for children.
